Job Summary
Complete resident service requests, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, and electrical issues, and prepare apartments for new residents through quality make-ready work. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently while assisting with pool maintenance, grounds support, and community appearance as needed. Collaborate with the Service Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks and utilize mobile technology to manage work orders. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency requests. Requires EPA Type II certification, two years of apartment maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Full-time role with a $1,000 hiring bonus and comprehensive benefits at LUMA Residential.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Certification (or equivalent HVAC certification)
- Minimum two years of apartment maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently
- Personal maintenance tools
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, and maintenance software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Experience maintaining older apartment communities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
