Job Summary

Repair and maintain the community’s plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and painting needs; on-the-job training will be provided. Build rapport with residents and assist with service requests, monitor the make-ready turnover schedule, and perform preventive maintenance to safeguard equipment and maintain safety. Notice details while inspecting the property daily to preserve cleanliness and curb appeal. Must be technically savvy, a clear communicator, team-oriented, proactive, motivated, and organized; physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. and working in varying outdoor conditions. Opportunities for growth include obtaining HVAC designations.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of hands-on general maintenance experience
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies
  • Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to walk great distances, lift up to 75 lbs., climb and be comfortable on roofing, operate heavy machinery and withstand extreme outdoor temperatures
  • Ability to earn future designations as required by industry standards (EPA regulations, OSHA requirements)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Trade school and/or military training or industry designation (CAMT or CAMT II) (preferred)
  • HVAC Experience (preferred)
