Job Summary
Perform routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively, completing resident service requests and work orders promptly. Maintain property grounds by removing debris and support unit turnovers with painting, repairs, and cleaning. Assist in preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment while ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building codes. Deliver notices to residents as directed and participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. This role requires reliable transportation, 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, and familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance troubleshooting. Work on-site at the Minneapolis property with hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, plus weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to get to work
- 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
- Familiarity with basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance maintenance
- Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- On-call availability
- Weekend availability
