Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Complete all service requests prioritizing health and safety, diagnosing and performing repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Document work accurately, order materials within budget, and maintain shop inventory standards. Conduct regular site inspections of exterior and interior properties, including vacant units, to ensure regulatory compliance and identify improvement projects. Accompany the Property Manager during unit inspections for HVAC filters and safety checks, while monitoring contractors and assisting with move-in/move-out procedures. Flex work schedules for after-hours emergencies and weekend coverage to keep grounds neat and properties in optimal condition.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to flex work schedule to accommodate after hour and weekend emergencies in a timely manner
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
- General maintenance experience to include, but not limited to, knowledge of appliance repair, light carpentry, plumbing/electrical knowledge, and drywall/painting
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot maintenance issues and repairs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
- Physically able to perform maintenance duties as required
- Communicates well with the Property Manager to carry out the objectives of efficient property operation
- Promote good public relations with residents, co-workes, company staff, and service providers through a great attitude and resident trust
