Job Summary
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and apply preventative measures across apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems. Maintain accurate records and work order completion using smart devices and property management software. Manage building safety systems including fire systems such as sprinklers and alarms. This role requires a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend emergency response, with a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday. Minimum of two years' experience in multifamily residential, commercial, or hotel maintenance is required, along with intermediate competency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry. Site-specific certifications such as EPA Type II and CPO are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior multi-family apartment maintenance experience
- Intermediate competency with HVAC
- Intermediate competency with plumbing
- Intermediate competency with electrical
- Intermediate competency with appliance repair
- Intermediate competency with painting
- Intermediate competency with carpentry
- Availability to be part of a rotating on call schedule for after hours and weekend emergency response
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance
- Familiarity with building safety systems including the fire systems (sprinklers/alarms)
- Ability to use smart devices and property management software for maintaining accurate records and work order completion
- Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, some weekend work and ability to participate in the on-call rotations
- EPA Type II certification or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
