Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II at The Neiders Company is responsible for hands-on maintenance and repair tasks across the property with emphasis on accountability, quality workmanship, and legendary customer service. Responsibilities include completing assigned maintenance tasks, documenting work and parts, following schedules, responding to resident maintenance requests, communicating repairs and timelines, performing routine and corrective maintenance (plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, appliance repair), general carpentry (drywall, countertops, cabinets, doors/locks, windows), preventive maintenance inspections, following safety procedures, maintaining property cleanliness and safety, and identifying safety hazards. Requires 2+ years in apartment maintenance, high school diploma or equivalent, and technical certifications such as CAMT, EPA 608 Type II, and CPO are preferred; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate hand and power tools, and be available for evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; CAMT, Type II EPA 608, CPO
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues.
- Ability to perform and understand basic office equipment: computer knowledge, Yardi or similar, Outlook, key control systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering legendary service to residents and associates.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on call as needed.
- Have valid driver license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
