Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of property maintenance operations by creating daily action plans, coordinating unit turnovers with vendors, and ensuring timely completion of service requests and work orders. Perform routine property inspections, assist in preventative maintenance efforts, and manage maintenance supplies to control inventory costs while maintaining accurate records. Lead the maintenance team to address resident concerns quickly and professionally, ensuring all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies. Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies and deliver resident communications as directed. Work on-site at the St. Charles property with a Monday-to-Friday schedule, 8 AM to 4:30 PM hours, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to get to work
- 2–3 years of experience in residential maintenance, including team leadership or supervisory experience
- A passion and ability to lead and develop team members
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks across a dynamic property environment
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Background checks will be performed on all qualified applicants
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus
- EPA certification, HVAC license, or other relevant credentials are a plus
