Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor at Summer Brook Apartments in Longview, TX. Responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, assigning work orders by priority, turning and preparing units between tenant occupancy, and completing repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC. Conduct monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager, manage a preventative maintenance program, oversee exterior structural maintenance, and coordinate 24/7 on-call coverage and bids with third-party vendors. Requires HVAC experience, EPA certification, and a plus for CPO certification; 2+ years in maintenance and 1+ year in multifamily housing. Must have drywall/painting/carpentry skills, light plumbing/electrical abilities, and knowledge of appliances (washers/dryers); ability to physically demonstrate duties during interview.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC experience required
- EPA certification required
- CPO certification a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in the maintenance field
- 1+ year experience within the multi-family housing industry preferred
- Experience managing 1+ employees
- Drywall, painting, and carpentry experience
- Experience with light plumbing and electrical work
- Working knowledge of appliances to include washers and dryers
