Job Summary
Assist in make readies involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural repairs for showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors. Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager or Lead Maintenance, execute preventative maintenance programs, and perform grounds work including pickup, sweeping, and light landscaping. Maintain HVAC systems as preferred, rotate 24-hour emergency on-call duties, and represent the company professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing daily weather exposure and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in the Maintenance Industry
- Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call
- Possession of valid driver's license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
- Prior to employment pass criminal background screening
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk up and downstairs
- Must be able to walk the property in its entirety
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Must have time management skills
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- One year of property maintenance experience preferred
- Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
