APAC Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Associate

Job Summary
Manage new business and KYC periodic refresh requests by liaising with Business, Clients, and Compliance partners to facilitate the end-to-end KYC process. Identify and execute process enhancements, including leveraging AI, while acting as a Subject Matter Expert to guide clients through documentation variations and due diligence standards. Conduct in-depth analysis on client ownership structures using publicly available sources and follow up with relevant teams to ensure onboarding completion within agreed timeframes. Liaise regularly with stakeholders for workload planning, prioritize open requests, and escalate risks to ensure continuity of information flow. Support the production of key management metrics and lead regional or global projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in KYC / Onboarding functions
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of KYC/Compliance/AML procedures and standards is essential
- Knowledge of multiple client types (i.e. Corporates, FIs, FinTechs, SPV, Trust, Funds etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Resilient interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with internal stakeholders, influencing and negotiating effectively with business, clients and other stakeholders
- Strong time management, organizational, client service and relationship management skills
- Client focused mindset while maintaining a strong controls mindset and focus on quality
- Prior experience of adhering to controls and compliance standards
- Ability to grasp/learn concepts and procedures quickly
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and automation & visualization tools (Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau)
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in KYC / Onboarding functions within the banking industry
- Knowledge of financial industry and experience with KYC in Commercial & Investment Banking is preferred
