APAC Settlement/Payment Risk Credit Officer

Job Summary

Monitor and approve settlement credit exposures for the APAC region, including daylight and end-of-day overdrafts, while assessing funding availability and evaluating risk rationale for exceptions. Perform daily monitoring of overdraft exposures, review transaction exceptions and fails, and ensure timely escalation of material issues to Credit Risk. Review and approve Daylight Overdraft Approval Memos in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, responding to Boston credit risk requests and FLOD inquiries regarding Credit Risk Guidelines. Coordinate with stakeholders to support FRB reporting, escalate key issues to senior leadership, and make credit decisions within delegated authority while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or Credit Officer
  • Strong credit analysis experience, with an emphasis on Settlement/Payment risks
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills combined with critical thinking
  • High energy and strong motivation skills to add value to the organization
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, from junior credit analysts to senior management
  • Hybrid work requirement - 4 days in office
  • Sydney based
