APAC Operational Leader

Job Summary

Lead regional operational governance, execution pacing, and project controls across the APAC Onshore Wind portfolio. Manage schedule, cost, and issue escalation while ensuring projects are launched and executed in accordance with global standards. Coordinate specialist functional support for grid, quality, and other delivery areas to maintain customer commitments and drive operational excellence. Review project analytics and dashboards to establish clear reporting processes, lead Lean initiatives, and build regional capability for succession planning. Operate within a matrix organization across multiple countries, requiring high-level judgment to resolve complex commercial and technical problems. Note that working across time zones and monitoring external contacts outside normal hours is expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Project Management, Project Controls, Operations, or related functional support areas
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project execution governance, schedule performance, cost control, customer commitments and cross-functional stakeholder alignment
  • Strong working knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, project governance and operational execution processes
  • Experience coordinating specialist functional inputs or regional support resources in a matrix organisation to support project delivery outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a matrix organisation, including direct and indirect leadership of professional teams across countries and functions
  • Experience in onshore wind, power generation, infrastructure, construction, energy or other technically complex project environments
  • Working across different time zones
  • Monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex project, commercial, technical and operational problems
  • Ability to document, plan, pace and execute regional operating rhythms and governance processes
  • Established operational judgement, project execution discipline and ability to make decisions using multiple internal and external sources of information
  • Ability to communicate complex messages, build consensus and negotiate with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors and customers
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, compliance, integrity and continuous improvement
  • Significant experience leading complex regional project or operational portfolios across multiple countries, preferably within Asia
