Job Summary
Associate in APAC Legal Entity Risk Management supporting CROs and LERMs for Australia and SE Asia, helping to develop and implement risk governance structures, engaging on regulatory deliverables and examinations, addressing regulatory changes, maintaining risk governance documents, facilitating location risk committee work, and collaborating with regional/global risk teams to resolve risk oversight issues. Requires strong communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills, plus experience in risk management within financial services and familiarity with risk frameworks and regulatory environments (risk appetite, governance frameworks, committee charters). Focus on building governance, enabling effective risk management, and contributing to cross-risk initiatives, including data governance, AI/data analytics, and climate risk initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, finance or control management in the financial services industry
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences at all levels of seniority
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage time and priorities effectively with minimal supervision
- Good analytical, interpersonal, ability to influence and collaborate; organized, motivated, and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative
