Job Summary
Maintain and support a Kubernetes-based hosting platform and AWS infrastructure for Drupal and Laravel applications, migrating and optimizing client workloads while ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Execute deployments and improve CI/CD pipelines, manage identity and access across Google Workspace and Atlassian tools, and build monitoring systems to proactively identify issues. Perform disaster recovery testing, manage DNS and SSL lifecycles, and drive automation initiatives to replace manual tasks. Contribute to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance by maintaining security controls and audit readiness. Collaborate with developers to enhance infrastructure processes and stay current with DevOps best practices and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role
- Strong Linux systems administration skills with experience in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, Docker, and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience migrating and configuring applications across Kubernetes environments
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar)
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or equivalent automation tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills in production environments
- Solid understanding of infrastructure security, identity and access management, and least-privilege principles
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2
- Experience working within governed and access-controlled environments
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage complex infrastructure with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated experience using automation and AI to improve DevOps workflows and operational efficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Personal projects, home labs, or side projects demonstrating passion for automation and infrastructure
- Practical use of AI tools in DevOps or platform engineering workflows
- Experience hosting Drupal and/or Laravel applications
- Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms
- Familiarity with OpsGenie, JAMF, Atlassian Administration, and Google Workspace Administration
- Experience managing DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and domain lifecycle processes
- Proven track record of automating repetitive operational tasks
- Experience contributing to ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits and certification processes
