Job Summary
Develop and implement district curriculum plans while preparing lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles. Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning to guide instructional strategies and provide timely feedback on progress. Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and supervise assigned teacher aides or volunteers. Support special education needs by modifying curricula per Individual Education Plans and assist students with technology navigation. Create an inclusive classroom environment for both in-person and virtual instruction, acting as a positive role model for student growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning
- Strong knowledge of Internet and web-related technology
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support students with computer set-up, navigation, and technology issues
- Student teaching or approved internship, or related work experience
