Job Summary
Deliver engaging virtual AP Biology classes covering cell structure, genetics, evolution, and biochemistry using EdTech tools. Design lessons aligned with the curriculum framework and integrate lab-based learning through simulations. Prepare students for the AP Biology exam by conducting practice tests, providing feedback on multiple-choice and free-response sections, and teaching time management strategies. Assess progress via quizzes and projects while maintaining clear communication with students and parents. Manage attendance, grading, and lesson tracking on platforms like Zoom and Google Classroom. Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure seamless virtual instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Biology
- Familiarity with the AP Biology curriculum and exam structure
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Teaching certification or a background in AP Biology instruction
- AP Biology teaching experience
- Previous experience teaching in an online environment
- Strong expertise in biological concepts, scientific reasoning, and experimental design
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage a virtual audience effectively
- Proficiency in using EdTech platforms, virtual labs, and digital teaching tools
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning styles and needs
