Job Summary
Perform inspection of product run through Automated Optical Inspection equipment on the SMT line while adhering to ESD requirements and Moisture Sensitive Device handling protocols. Verify product compliance to workmanship standards, process compliance to established AOI programs, and integrity of data collected by machinery. Communicate defects not captured by equipment or noted during review to responsible personnel and assembly operators to enhance program integrity. Support ISO standards related to Quality Management Systems and corporate 6S objectives. Provide assistance and training to other employees and determine methods for new assignments while supporting a minimum of 2 customer products.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system
- Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures
- Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with high-level of complexity
- Wide variety of duties, which require considerable judgement to work independently
- Provide assistance and training to other employees
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments
- Broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed
- Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements
- Ability to follow established procedures on routine work
- Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity
- Candidates being considered for hire must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test which include screening for illegal drugs and marijuana
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical education a plus
- High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products
- Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus
- Typically requires little to no experience
