Job Summary
AOG Planner at FlyExclusive coordinates, schedules, and supports Aircraft on Ground (AOG) maintenance events to ensure timely return-to-service. Acts as the central communications hub between Maintenance Control, AOG Technicians, Parts, Engineering, and Flight Operations to arrange logistical, technical, and resource requirements during high-priority maintenance. Responsibilities include prioritizing AOG events, coordinating manpower, tooling, equipment, and materials, assigning technicians based on skills and location, arranging travel and lodging for personnel, tracking timelines and return-to-service targets, ensuring documentation and logbooks are accurate, preparing daily AOG reports, providing continuous updates to stakeholders, and ensuring FAA/OEM/FlyExclusive compliance. Requires strong aviation maintenance knowledge, ability to work under pressure, and experience with maintenance tracking systems/ERP-CMMS; shift work, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of aviation maintenance planning, AOG coordination, or maintenance control experience
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and FAA regulations
- Experience working in Part 135 or Part 145 environments preferred
- Exceptional communication, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and respond rapidly to operational needs
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and ERP/CMMS tools
