Job Summary
Analyze and assess AOCS guidance performance, focusing on spacecraft pointing accuracy, geo-location, and geo-orientation errors. Use and enhance AOCS simulation environments to evaluate mission performance and investigate guidance correction concepts. Perform performance analyses and trade-off studies to compare alternative onboard guidance correction methods. Evaluate the impact of orbital prediction errors, including along-track and cross-track deviations, on mission and instrument performance. Develop prototype analysis tools, document technical results, and present recommendations to project stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field with experience in AOCS, GNC, and spacecraft dynamics. Full-time role in engineering services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- experience in AOCS, GNC, spacecraft guidance, or satellite mission analysis
- solid understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and attitude guidance concepts
- experienced in simulation-based engineering and performance assessment of space systems
- familiar with verification and validation activities, performance metrics, and technical trade-off analyses
- can produce high-quality technical documentation and effectively communicate results in reports and presentations
