Job Summary
Mechanical Restoration & Repair of antique clocks and precision devices, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, rebuilding movements, calibrating timepieces (grandfather, wall, mantel), and fabricating or replacing mechanical components (gears, springs, pivots, escapements, pendulums). Safe handling of high-value antiques, assistance with transport/setup, and involvement in gallery installations and client communications. Emphasis on precision, documentation, and adherence to safety, with periodic travel and a full-time schedule in a professional workshop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven mechanical repair or technical experience
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on technical skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
