Anticipated Vacancy Long Term Substitute - Social Studies Teacher (OHS)

Teach high school social studies courses aligned with district curriculum and Connecticut standards, utilizing primary sources, discussion, and project-based learning to foster historical thinking and civic engagement. Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages inquiry, analysis, and effective communication while working within an inclusionary model. Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement, communicate progress to parents and staff, and complete administrative duties including grading and reporting. Collect data to measure instruction impact, adapt flexibly to specific student needs, and maintain a positive learning experience throughout the August through October 2026-2027 period.
