Job Summary
Conduct instructional support under teacher supervision by preparing lesson materials, setting up classroom resources, and assisting with grading. Review taught content with individual students facing learning challenges and facilitate remedial teaching for smaller groups. Escort and supervise students during field trips, maintain safe and tidy classrooms, and assist with health-related activities. Track attendance, inform parents of progress, and report behavioral issues to teachers. Work across diverse subjects including foreign language, arts, crafts, and music. Maintain a firm but kind demeanor while building trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
Required Qualifications
- Certification required, Pre-Professional or Continuing Teacher Assistant Certificates
- Experience as a Teacher Assistant
- Familiarity with school administrative tasks and learning methods
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Cool-tempered and positive attitude
- Firm but kind personality
- A love for teaching and the ability to build a trusting relationship with students, teachers and parents
Desired Qualifications
- College or associate's degree is preferred
