Job Summary

Deliver differentiated instruction and develop weekly lesson plans for students in an Autistic Support Classroom, adapting curriculum and equipment to meet individualized goals. Provide appropriate education, assessment, and progress monitoring based on data collected from IEPs, while collecting and interpreting results to modify instruction and report to parents. Coordinate programming with parents, guardians, and the IEP team to ensure continuity, including participating in conferences to advise on functional levels and service needs. Maintain confidentiality and procedural safeguards regarding student data and due process, while completing required records, reports, and scheduling documentation to SIU standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Instructional I Certification in Special Education PK-12
  • Knowledge of Special Education practices as related to working with students with disabilities
  • Any such alternatives as to the above qualifications as the Board of Directors deem appropriate
