Anticipated Secondary Social Studies Teacher 9-12

Social Studies teacher for Bellefonte Area High School (grades 9-12) tasked with planning standards-based, rigorous lessons; demonstrating strong content knowledge and pedagogy; aligning instructional goals with district standards; designing coherent instruction; assessing student learning and maintaining data; fostering a respectful, well-managed classroom; collaborating to integrate 21st Century Literacy Skills and co-teaching when available; and performing other duties as assigned by the building principal. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education and PA teaching certification in Social Studies 7-12; experience with instructional technology and strong organizational/communication skills; prior teaching experience preferred.
