Job Summary
Develop remedial programs and deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions in reading and math to support English Learners experiencing academic challenges. Conduct assessments to identify language proficiency levels, analyze MTSS data, and adjust instruction based on student progress. Collaborate with staff, families, and the student support team to coordinate services, prepare IEPs, and recommend entry or exit from the ELD program. Deliver individualized or small-group instruction while maintaining accurate records and communicating assessment results to parents within state-mandated timelines. Plan and deliver lessons, manage schedules, and supervise building activities including lunch and recess.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's degree
- Active, valid Pennsylvania ESL Program Specialist Certificate (PK-12)
- Active, valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certification in Elementary Education, and/or Special Education, and/or Reading Specialist Certificate
- Strong verbal and written language skills
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge including use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software
