Job Summary
ESL Teacher at Edmond P. Talbot Middle School delivering high-quality instruction to Accelerate English language learning for English Language Learners; utilizes MADE/State-approved course of study, differentiates instruction to meet individual needs, leverages WIDA and Common Core Standards, assesses progress in listening, speaking, reading and writing, communicates with parents through conferences, maintains classroom standards, and participates in professional development in alignment with district goals and the Fall River Educators Contract.
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL
- Bachelor's degree in teaching ESL or related field
- Demonstrated expertise and experience teaching English Language Learners
- Experience in curriculum development for ESL/ELL classes
- Knowledge of WIDA and Common Core Standards
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Ability to evaluate student progress in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English
- Strong communication with parents through conferences and other means
- Commitment to professional development
- Ability to adhere to district collective bargaining agreement
