Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in accordance with district guidelines and state regulations; provide direct instruction to students in both small group and one-on-one settings, adapting lessons to meet the needs of each student; work with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and provide accommodations; monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies; collaborate with school staff to develop interventions; maintain accurate student records and IEP documentation; assist in developing behavioral intervention plans (BIPs); participate in ongoing professional development; foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and effective communication with families; use formal and informal assessments to inform services; prepare progress reports and year-end evaluations; identify student needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning problems; perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Required Qualifications
- New Hampshire Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- 2-5 Years of Experience
