Job Summary
Integrated Preschool Special Education Teacher needed for an inclusionary prekindergarten program. Design and implement instruction to develop communication, motor, social-emotional, and academic skills; provide small group instruction to meet individual IEP goals; ensure compliance with special education regulations; write and implement IEP goals with regular progress reports; conduct educational evaluations to determine eligibility and regularly assess data to develop IEPs. Facilitate IEP meetings as a core team member with active family participation; collaborate with preschool staff to support student needs; supervise paraprofessionals and maintain positive family communication across channels. Ability to convey content in engaging, differentiated instruction aligned to RI Early Learning Standards; participate in a collaborative adult learning community; perform other duties as assigned. Requires minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s in Special Education preferred) and RI certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (Pre-K). Requires a minimum of five years of teaching/administration experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- RI Department of Education certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (Pre-K)
