Job Summary
Anticipated Education Program Assistant at Turning Point Academy within the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center. Responsibilities include maintaining educational records, developing student folders, establishing rapport with LEAs to send/receive records, sending discharge reports within 48 hours of student discharge, processing course assignments and report cards each marking period, assessing social service intakes and educational intakes for students admitted into JDC, maintaining daily student registers and monthly submissions, ordering supplies for school/office/teachers, supporting the principal and CST with paperwork and records, communicating with teachers for course corrections and grades, providing training support for other JDCs, maintaining and updating contact binders, documenting correspondence in education files, flagging files for grade/course changes, managing admissions/discharges during student transitions, organizing calendars and meetings for education staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Successful office experience
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Ability to establish and follow through on effective office practices
- Maintain records and files
- Delegating assignments with follow-up to clerical staff
