Job Summary
Provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curricular and extracurricular programs. Be the sole operator of the school bus, meet all Ohio regulatory requirements, perform PTI prior to routes, fuel and keep the bus clean, ensure orderly conduct of riders, attend district/county meetings, report discipline issues, and arrange servicing as directed. Conduct responsibilities with a focus on safety, compliance with Ohio School Bus Operation Regulations, and serving as a positive role model for students and staff; occasional exposure to blood/bodily fluids and operation in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- 1. High school diploma or equivalent
- 2. Hold a current Ohio Class B CDL license with School Bus and Passenger endorsement
- 3. Be insurable with not more than four points on the Ohio driver’s license
- 4. Complete and pass a T-8 physical yearly
- 5. High moral character and good attendance record
- 6. Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
