Job Summary
Facilitate brand vision through product allocation and material sourcing that meet cost and timing requirements while achieving seasonal calendar actualization. Attend concept and sketch reviews to clarify design intentions, then collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop category strategy and manage sample evaluation for quality compliance. Transition adopted styles to production teams, tracking approval dates and production concerns, and mentor junior team members. Analyze opportunities to improve adoption rates and style count targets as dictated by the seasonal line plan.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive development and sourcing experience within a complex, fast-paced apparel environment
- Proven success building cross-functional relationships, and effectively communicating with internal and external customers
- Proficient understanding of concept and practice of product construction & materials
- Ability to land costs
- Minimally dependent on manager on how to carry out work
- Able to execute on projects when given clear guidelines and strategy
- Strong computer skills are required, including Outlook, Google Docs, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Some travel may be required
