Job Summary
Ansible Automation & Platform Engineer for GM's Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) responsible for design, operation, governance, and enterprise adoption. Lead platform development including controller, execution environments, mesh architecture, and collections; drive feature evolution, lifecycle management, and scalable, secure automation. Build enterprise-grade automation frameworks, integrate with Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps, and event-driven systems; enable self-service automation for developers and IT teams; incorporate Agentic AI for AI-driven playbook generation, validation, remediation recommendations, and AI-assisted troubleshooting. Strong focus on governance (coding standards, patterns, security guardrails), upgrades/migrations, and cross-environment standardization. Requires 5–7+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering, expert Ansible skills, IaC tooling experience, Linux/configuration management, ServiceNow ITSM integration, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) & Kubernetes knowledge.
