Job Summary
ANSI Inspector to join our Lifting Services team in Chicago. Inspect aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes and digger derricks to ensure safe operation by conducting inspections of major components. Perform structural tests including acoustic emission tests, magnetic particle inspections, torque tests, and dielectric testing of FRP booms and related systems. Requires mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of mechanical processes and hand tools, proficiency with computers, strong communication, good visual acuity, and ability to work independently; travel and variable shifts including weekends/holidays may be required. Required Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic knowledge of mechanical processes, movement, and assembly
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Adequate visual acuity and perception to identify and distinguish light, color, depth, distance, and other elements pertaining to spatial resolution
- Must be able to work independently with some direction from management
- Problem solver, detail oriented
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, climb, crawl and twist for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be punctual, accountable, and provide high quality customer service
- Must be able to travel for an extended period of time and available to work varying shifts which may include weekends, overnights and holidays
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug screen
