Job Summary
Anodizer role on 2nd shift responsible for anodizing aluminum extrusions to customer specifications. Read and follow order instructions, maintain tank concentrations as directed by Supervisors/Line Leaders/Lab Technicians, visually inspect loads to ensure secure racking, and verify parts pass through the line. Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear required PPE. Communicate any quality, equipment, or safety concerns and perform duties with minimal supervision at a steady pace. Training in operating an Isoscope Meter to check coating thickness, overhead crane operation, Right to Know (Chemical) Safety, and Confined Space Entry Safety is required. The position requires physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking, and exposure to a loud environment without air conditioning. Start pay is $23/hour with increases to $24/hour after 6 months and $25/hour after one year. Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, with mandatory overtime as needed. Location: Elkhart, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating anodizing equipment
- knowledge of chemical processes
- ability to produce high-quality anodized finishes on aluminum extrusions
- read instructions and process to specifications
- willing to work 3:00 pm-11:00 pm shift and OT as necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have completed training for Right to Know (Chemical) Safety and Confined Space Entry Safety Programs
- Must be able to operate overhead crane
- Must be able to perform simple arithmetic
