Job Summary
Execute account and territory strategies for assigned broker dealers, driving acquisition, optimization, and retention of TruStage Annuity business. Develop and implement strategic plans for business development with investment advisors, manage daily wholesaler activities, and allocate financial resources to meet sales and asset targets. Provide outbound support by advising on product availability, educating advisors on new releases, and communicating relevant economic data. Serve as a troubleshooter for product and process issues, document field contacts, and participate in training meetings and sales conventions. Partner with regional vice presidents and product marketers to execute marketing plans, allocate funding, and introduce new product campaigns. Maintain deep knowledge of the product portfolio, back office processes, and competitive landscape to support face-to-face and virtual sales channels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of sales, marketing or customer service experience in the financial industry
- Strong knowledge of investment and/or insurance products
- Demonstrated sales & marketing knowledge of annuities and variable products, and their appropriate applications within the context of a needs-based sales process
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses
- Life and Variable Licenses
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Capable of presenting technical product knowledge with professional phone and face to face skills
- Exercise sound judgment and solid decision making for allocating company resources for business development
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and perform under pressure
- Proven ability to grow a sales territory
- Ability and desire to spend significant portion of job developing relationships virtually and over the phone
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong territory management, independence and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Desired Qualifications
- Industry designations a plus (CPA, CFA, ChFC, CLU, etc.)
- Working knowledge of office automation tools
