Job Summary
Annual Giving Manager is responsible for Wesley Community Foundation’s annual, employee and mid-level giving programs. Develops and implements fundraising plans, financial objectives and donor growth strategies, identifies and cultivates donors, manages donor/prospect data, and collaborates with major gift officers to optimize mid-level giving and stewardship events. Manages campaigns, direct mail, and related materials; uses Raiser’s Edge NXT; prepares tailored solicitation materials; drives annual giving initiatives and donor stewardship activities; participates in resident town/council and campus events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Driving is an essential function and/or a legitimate business purpose for this position; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required as a condition of employment
- Two plus years of development experience and success, including annual giving (mid-level and employee giving a plus) and volunteer management experience
- Demonstrated success in one-on-one gift solicitations
- Knowledge of PC operations and standard software packages such as Microsoft M365 as well as database experience (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, motivate and lead in a collaborative setting
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous and able to balance priorities
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- High integrity, professionalism, innovation, and enthusiasm regarding cause-related nonprofit organizations; commendable work ethic and team-player skills
- Ability to relate to and interact successfully with all people, including those of considerable achievement and financial means
