Job Summary
Plan and oversee daily afterschool programs, recruiting, training, and managing staff while developing their skills. Ensure activities are engaging and promote academic, social, and emotional development in a safe, inclusive environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration, parents, and stakeholders, addressing behavior issues and monitoring attendance. Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development, and maintain accurate records including incident reports. Coordinate transportation, meals, and program setup, ensuring compliance with state regulations and budget management. Work Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts or split shifts depending on the school.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills
- 1+ years' experience managing a team
- To be a good communicator, able to talk to kids, parents, school admin and teachers comfortably, a problem solver, a team player, and a good listener
- Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff
- Professional attitude, commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional discretion
- Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems
- College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam
- To get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative) and pass a Live Scan background check
- You will be required to take CPR and first aid training or provide proof that you have been certified within 12 months
- Reliably commute before starting work (Required)
