Job Summary
Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate Anime Club sessions for elementary, middle, and high school students, introducing storytelling, visual media analysis, and creative expression through discussion-based and project-based activities. Adapt lessons based on student interests, site requirements, and program objectives while maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment. Facilitate respectful discussions on themes, characters, and cultural influences, and support students in creating fan art, character designs, and creative writing projects. Complete a brief session completion form after each scheduled service hour and follow applicable site safety, visitor, technology, and student-protection procedures. Compensation varies by assignment scope, typically ranging from $50+ per instructional service hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 college credits, where required by the applicable assignment or site
- Familiarity with anime, animation, visual storytelling, media studies, pop culture, creative writing, art, or related subject areas
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students
- Strong communication, organization, discussion facilitation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to facilitate age-appropriate discussions and activities in a school setting
