Animal Nutrition & Customer Service Officer

Job Summary
Conduct regular on-farm visits to assess livestock performance, understand feeding challenges, and recommend appropriate nutritional solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing technical advice on feed products, rations, and feeding programs while gathering and documenting feedback on quality and performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders to support sales growth, retention, and the sales pipeline through proactive outreach and tailored product demonstrations. Assist the nutritionist with feed formulation accuracy, maintain FeedSafe compliance documentation, and enter customer orders and visit logs into business systems. Complete farm risk assessments and promote workplace health and safety requirements during site interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Qualification in animal science, animal nutrition, agricultural science, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in animal nutrition and livestock feeding systems, ideally within the stockfeed or agricultural sector
- Proven sales or customer facing experience, with the ability to build trust and influence purchasing decisions
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Physical fitness to undertake farm visits and light manual tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems
- Permanent Australian residency or citizenship
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia

- Understanding of FeedSafe quality systems
- Knowledge of environmental or regulatory requirements relevant to feed manufacturing
