Animal Law Enforcement Dispatcher

Job Summary
Answer incoming phone calls to the Animal Law Enforcement Department, providing information to the public and directing callers to appropriate departments. Enter calls for service into internal software systems and dispatch Animal Law Enforcement Officers. Collect and process service and licensing fees, then perform daily accounting reconciliation. Handle complaints or customer concerns with professionalism, involving a Supervisor or Administrative Manager when necessary. Document all essential information, including officer reports, summonses, and bite cases, into the Chameleon system. Operate HSPPR vehicles safely when assigned to perform duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to effectively read, write, interpret, communicate, perform basic problem solving, and perform basic math as commonly expected from completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
- Have no convictions for felonies or crimes of moral turpitude
- Must be able to lift a minimum of forty pounds with reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with Customer Service
- Previous experience with data entry
- Previous experience in answering phone calls for Customer Service or in a call center
- Sincere interest in the mission, vision, values, and goals of The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region and Animal Law Enforcement
