Job Summary
Animal Control Officer (Part Time) Enforce town and state animal control regulations. Requires current driver’s license and certification within one year. Three years of experience preferred with ability to read/interpret regulations and communicate decisions clearly to the public, boards, commissions, and staff. Availability for 10–26 hours per week, including evenings and alternating weekends. Compensation: $28.30 per hour; pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Located at Town Hall.
Required Qualifications
- Three years experience in animal control preferred
- Ability to read and interpret animal control regulations
- Ability to express decisions and reason through both verbal and written communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, various boards and commissions, other departments and staff
- Valid driver's license
- Certification required within one year
