Job Summary
Conduct daily care and maintenance of housing for rodents, aquatic species, and amphibians in the Animal Research Facility to support research and teaching across several academic departments. Manage the college's census of laboratory animals used in both research and teaching environments. This part-time on-call position averages 10 hours per week and may include weekend and holiday hours. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, demonstrate high reliability and attention to detail, and have experience working with animals beyond pet ownership. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks involving repetitive bending and reaching. Associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred, along with experience in laboratory animal research or technical facility support.
