Job Summary
Conduct daily feeding and general care for pigs while maintaining herd health and a clean, safe environment. Perform pressure washing to prepare rooms for animal entry and execute minor maintenance and sanitation tasks. Collaborate with the Manager to manage barn operations, including completing clerical duties like maintaining door charts, tracking inventory, and ordering feed and medication. Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and SOPs for humane animal treatment. This physically active role requires lifting up to 25kg and involves rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and alarm responses. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this rural position.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
- Commitment to wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols
- Availability for weekend, holiday, and alarm shifts on a rotational basis
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to a rural location
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Must be able to lift up to 25kg
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, and walk continuously
- Must be able to perform minor maintenance and sanitation tasks
