Job Summary
Provide feed and water to swine daily, heat check and breed sows, and process piglets through castration, tail docking, and medication administration. Assist with farrowing by managing litter care and ensuring piglet warmth while monitoring animals for health issues. Maintain sanitation via cleaning, disinfecting, and pit draining; handle animal movements, assist with weaning, and keep accurate records adhering to biosecurity protocols. This role supports the Farrowing and Breeding departments at Christensen Farms, a leader in livestock production. The position starts at $20/hr with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, includes comprehensive health and dental benefits, and requires a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm with a rotating weekend.
