Job Summary
Animal Care Technician II for the Insourcing Solutions Team in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include providing husbandry and veterinary assistance for laboratory animals (rodents; ALAT preferred), performing daily health observations and reporting abnormalities to supervisors, cleaning and maintaining animal rooms and equipment, monitoring environmental conditions, maintaining records and logbooks, providing environmental enrichment and behavioral assessments, and assuming lead duties on weekends/holidays; schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with some weekend/holiday coverage; hourly rate $21.06 with potential ALAT certification timing noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years related experience in animal care with at least one year of that time working with laboratory animal species (rodents preferred)
- ALAT certification at hire preferred or ALAT within one year of hire
