Job Summary
Welcomes human and pet guests; cleans and maintains pet suites, condos, and general boarding areas; feeds and waters pet guests; monitors and charts each pet guest; monitors pet belongings; launders; assists other associates; follows safe handling procedures; checks in and out of boarding guests; escorts pets to and from rooms; maintains facility cleanliness; communicates with management and team members; sanitizes areas; observes pet body language and reports concerns; provides individual care and medicates according to instructions; works both independently and as a team in a fast-paced, safety-conscious petcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- At least 1 year of professional animal experience
- Ability to work evenings, weekends & holidays
- Lift/carry 40 pounds or more
- Able to stand/walk for eight hours a day
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work on a computer system
- Able to handle dogs on leashes and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions
