Job Summary
Oversee playgroup supervision by managing dog behavior and playtime while ensuring safety protocols are followed to the letter. Handle daily care tasks including feeding pets per instructions, providing fresh water and clean bedding, and administering medication as directed. Maintain high cleanliness standards by managing kennels, washing toys, mopping floors, and vacuuming hair. Apply canine knowledge to study body language and keep dogs comfortable in kennel and playgroup environments. Solve problems related to dogs in care and work proactively with initiative on center tasks. Communicate effectively with team members and pet parents regarding their family members.
Required Qualifications
- A flexible schedule
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous petcare/animal experience
- Love for animals
- Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
- An ability to stand/work upright for multiple hours at a time, in all weather types
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs and remain active throughout your shift
Desired Qualifications
- Kind, conscientious, and detail-oriented caregiver
- Basic customer service skills
- Previous petcare/animal experience preferred
