Job Summary
As a Companion Animal Supervisor at Petco, you will lead the health, care, and presentation of live animals in the Companion Animal and Aquatics departments while driving sales, customer experience, and operational excellence. You will coach partners to deliver confident, compassionate animal care and knowledgeable service, ensure adherence to veterinary protocols and Petco standards, manage adoption-animal care documentation, balance animal welfare with inventory, sales, and margin goals, and mentor staff to grow leadership capabilities and deliver high presentation standards across the department.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a pet retail environment
- Strong knowledge of companion animals, aquatics, and animal care practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High focus on customer service and people development
