Job Summary
Companion Animal Supervisor responsible for the health, safety, and presentation of live animals in the Companion Animal and Aquatics departments while driving sales, customer experience, and operational excellence. Lead by coaching partners to deliver confident, compassionate animal care, maintain high presentation standards, promote teamwork and inclusion, and execute on selling strategies to support sales, margin, and shrink goals. Responsibilities include health checks and documentation, handling and care of adoption animals, adherence to veterinary protocols, and supporting omni-channel initiatives (BOPUS, ship-from-store, curbside, endless aisle). Key skills include animal welfare expertise, leadership, customer service, training and mentoring, operational discipline, and knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a pet retail environment
- Strong knowledge of companion animals, aquatics, and animal care practices
