Job Summary
The Animal Care Provider – Kennel role focuses on compassionate care for shelter animals in a full-time, non-exempt capacity. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, sanitary kennel and cat areas, ensuring animals receive food, water, enrichment, and proper living conditions; monitoring health and behavior; reporting concerns to supervisors; implementing enrichment programs; handling and presenting animals for staff, volunteers, and the public; assisting with dog introductions and playgroups; supporting marketing efforts through animal handling for photos/media; adhering to biosecurity and SOPs; and accurately documenting animal care, medical treatments, and behavior observations in ShelterLuv and related systems. Candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, interact effectively with co-workers, volunteers, and the public, and follow safety protocols. Education and experience require a high school diploma or equivalent and being at least 18 years old. The role is located in Hailey, ID, with full-time hours including some evenings and weekends, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
